My sisters and brother we have been talking
on the job about bills. Some people are thinking of filing
bankruptcy. Is is wrong to create bills and not pay for them.
We as children of God, what is the right way to go.
Yes things are hard, but do we have the right to
not pay for bills we made.......We all will listen to
the words of wisdom God will send through you all.....

A Debt I Cannot Repay

I have a debt I cannot repay
No mercy is all the scornful say

From their seats they condemn
Finding fault with the broken limb

Unable to satisfy what I owe
Helplessly watching my debt grow

I am fully responsible for this mess
Before GOD and man I confess

If only I could have seen the unseen
Tragedy, circumstance, locusts glean

Man offers relief but GOD gives hope
Bankruptcy for a season helps to cope

It can be a tool for those who need a new start
Or manipulated by those who think they are smart

Forgiveness of debt should never be taken lightly
The new life made possible should be handled rightly

It is easy to judge but their is only one Judge
His opinion matters all others are miry sludge

Bankruptcy should be an event and not a lifestlye
Understood by those who walk the second mile

My Bible says i should not be surety for a stranger
The warning is clear yet I put myself in danger
By creating various debts that I can never repay
Living beyond my means though I work everyday

I want to live in a big house and drive a nice automobile
Should I take out a mortgage or a loan or should I steal?
I already work too hard I'm stressed out my health is failing
Every week when I get my check I feel like weeping and wailing

I got me an idea I can file for bankruptcy chapter 11
But that would be like stealing and I'll never get to heaven
I can't expect for my Lord to get me out of this situation
He didn't create this problem so I guess I've learned my lesson

Keeping up with the Joneses is coveting what's your neighbor's
Jealousy and envy won't win you any special favors
Be humble and be content with what things you already have
Pay those bills off one by one and much more peace you'll have
