When It Rains, It Pours!!! Blessings, That Is...
« on: December 28, 2007, 12:43:14 PM »

AAAAAGGGHHH!!!  I really need your prayers.  Last night my coworker called me, in tears, to inform me that my boss told her that she's not sure if she's going to keep me on.  She has absolutely no reason not to -- I have not been insubordinate, I have performed my responsibilities with excellence, accuracy, and professionalism, and I am jovial, punctual and respectful.

Yet, two weeks away from the date I am scheduled to go permanent, she puts this out there.  Approximately four weeks ago, I had to hold down the fort from 7am-6pm by myself for a week when my coworker was out sick, and I did not make one mistake -- mind you, the phones were insane and there was an overflow of conference room requests, food orders, visitors, and guest registrations.

When I first started, I had the job down-pat in one day and was able to assume my regular 7-4 shift immediately, whereas it takes most much longer. Yet, she's taken issue with me.  If I had done anything to warrant such apprehension, I would not feel this way.  But I'm confident in what God has performed through me in this place.

So, out of loyalty to my coworker, I will not approach my supervisor; but I cannot pretend I'm not tempted.  This woman repeatedly addresses both my coworker and me in condescending and disrespectful tones, but we pray through it and try to keep our emotions in check.

I'm told that this position has been a revolving door for many years.  Ten people have passed through this position in the past year alone.  I can't imagine all of them having been incompetent or having messed up so badly that it warranted them being fired.  I've been up since 3:38 this morning praying and repenting and surveying this whole thing.  I'm exhausted and I'm sad.  But I know God is in this...somewhere...

Please let your poetry allow you to pray for my supervisor.  I don't want to say too much about her -- just allow the Lord to use you on her behalf.  Also, please cover my coworker, Luz Mejia.  She just went permanent last week and is still under heavy fire...

As for me -- I just need to remain thankful for what God has given me during my near three months here and continue to trust Him to use me to His glory and meet my family's needs.

I welcome any Holy Spirit-led advice along with your prayers.  Thank you and be blessed...peace...

Dear Sister,

I pray that God will hit
Your supervisor with His love
And if it be His will...
That your job not be removed

Try approaching her with a question...
Leaving your co-worker out,
Maybe you could ask...
Are you satisfied with my work?

I worked in a very small clinic
Where gossip and being critical was the norm
I stuck it out for years
Til' I could no longer stand the storms!

One thing that I can say for sure
You should be looking anyways
Keep passing your resume' out
In case she sends you on your way

I pray for peace in the midst of this storm
And Grace to rule your heart
I pray for calmness to envelop your soul
And for revenge and anger to depart

I thank the Lord for you putting Him first
I thank Him for your sincere cries
I pray that He holds you in His strong arms
And that He wipes the tears from your eyes.

I pray that He will soften this woman
And fill her with His Grace
I pray that the Father draws her
And I pray that He'll hold her in a loving embrace

I pray for peace in your workplace
So you can do what He has for you to do
I pray that if this is not His will
That He will immediately find something better for you.

I pray that your family's needs
Will be met by the throne of The Lord
He has a plan for you
He has so many things in store!

I pray all despair would leave
And that any doubts would not be found
I pray that He gives you courage
And anything will be loosed that is bound

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this.  You always come through -- I'll never be able to tell y'all how much y'all mean to me.

Peace...

Who Gives You All You Have

I have come to sound the alarm
When will you see man can only do so much
See you have to keep in mind God is your supplier
So look to Him ….Not your paycheck or spouse
It is time for the children of God to walk as such
Oh yes the adversary may try and take your,
Car, house, job, spouse, money, your children
And so much more; but God has the last say
I have to ask who gives you all you have
It's not your job…..It’s your Heavenly Father
So stop and focus on that thing no more but
Look to the hills from where your help comes
From and let the adversary know he will not win
Now it may seem dark but know that your Father
Is the creator of light; So what ever the enemy’s
Plans are God will bring them to an end
For we have the victory and the battle is already
Won, so fret not and keep your head up God is
About to show just who He is and what He can do
Remember who gives you what you need ….not just every now
And again but all the time…….
So stand back and watch the master at work
Knowing God’s answer is not always our answer
With out a shadow of a doubt there is a reason
And a season for all things ….Because the Father
Never allows anything to happen to His children
He can’t help them through …so hold fast
And stand firm you are being held by the Most High God
No tell me, Who Gives You All You Have!!!!!

Re: May We Fly As Eagles

May We Fly As Eagles

As the church was praying
For those in the storm today
I thanked my heavenly Father
That my skies were in blue; arrayed

We know that storms will come again
With unpredictability
But those who are tethered to God’s heart
Will survive the stormy seas

May we fly as the eagle
Who flies far above the clouds
Where the sun is always shinning
And they can touch the face of God

Though storms sometimes bring destruction
They also bring good things
Watering the Earth with the dew of Heaven
Making the air sweet and clean

When the storms are all around us
Hold tighter to God’s hand
Pray for His strength, and peace to surround you
And then on His promises, stand

And as we know the storms return
The sun will also shine again
And the peace that passes understanding
Will follow those kept in God’s hand

I'll Be A Diamond One Day
« Reply #5 on: January 01, 2008, 06:21:21 PM »

I’ll be a Diamond One Day

He forgives all the sin that brought us both shame
Though the blood of a sinner flows through my veins
Salvation is mine through the blood and the cross
Because Christ paid sins debt my soul is not lost

Christ is the Savior by choice and by will
I praise His name and through Him all is well
Nothing I’ve done could have purchased my soul
He’s creating a diamond from this lump of coal

I’m new image; new spirit and life
Created eternal through Jesus Christ
One day I’ll sing with the angels on high
When He calls me to my home in the sky

Christ is my Savior, my God, and my King
WITHOUT Him I’m nothing; but WITH Him ALL things
All that exists or that ever will be
Is by, through, and for, the Lord Jesus who reigns

One day I will shine and glitter as gold
When He’s finished creating this diamond from coal
Then I’ll be like Him and in His image refined
As His workmanship; created by the Divine

Proud To Be A Christian
« Reply #6 on: January 01, 2008, 06:23:24 PM »

Proud to be a Christian

I’m tired of hearing people
Criticize my faith
Attacking anyone they can
Who trusts God with their fate

I’m proud to be a Christian
Dependent on the cross
Leaning on the arms of God
To find me when I’m lost

I could not have paid the penalty
Or saved my soul from hell
Were it not for Jesus Christ
So now His story I tell

What can you offer Jesus
In exchange for your soul
You cannot pay this debt with diamonds
Although to God you are as gold

There is no kind of currency
That can be above your soul
The life that only God can give
Dies when it grows cold

The arrogant one day will fall
To bow at Jesus feet
Declaring Jesus Christ is Lord
As they stand in bitter defeat

Standing at the great white throne
Will be a place of fear
Where they’ll bear the consequences
Of every sin and tear

The penalties for every sin
For every person who ever lived
Although already paid by Christ
The unredeemed must pay for theirs

The Bible mentions even idle words
And tells how lost our souls would be
Had Jesus failed to die for man
And set his spirit free

Every person who ever lived
Has sinned some time in their life
And the remedy remains the same
The debt is paid by them, or Christ

There will be so much regret
But too late it will come
They cannot be forgiven now
And they can’t change what they’ve done

As a Christian we are sanctified
For Jesus took our place
And when God examines our heart and soul
He will only see Christ’s face

If not now, when will you come
We aren’t promised our next breath
Those who don’t receive Jesus Christ
Will find it’s too late to after death

One day it will be over
And all chance to choose be gone
They will spend eternity in hell
And we’ll be in Heaven, singing songs

One Person At A Time
« Reply #7 on: January 01, 2008, 06:24:31 PM »

One Person at a Time

Can one person change the world
And make a better place
On their own; with none to help
Not even relying on God’s grace

I believe that change begins with one
Before it can saturate the earth
Then the many joined together
Will create a better world

I can’t feed a world that’s starving
But I am able to feed one
I can’t remove all heartaches
But I can help someone

I cannot provide the light
To chase the night away
But I can light one candle
And it will light that place

I can lead another
To the saving grace of God
And He will lift their heavy burdens
As He gives them all His love

If every person came to Christ
It would fill the world with love
Defeat the enemy of man
And give back the world to God

Though I can’t help the entire world
I can bring peace to those I meet
And if each one gives love to others
The world would be at peace

So Many Blessings
« Reply #8 on: January 01, 2008, 06:25:39 PM »

So Many  Blessings

When I consider I was lost
And on my way to hell
When our Father sent His Son to die
And gave me living water from His well

He quenched the thirst within my soul
That I would never thirst again
Living waters flowed from Heaven
Provided by my Father’s hand

I am washed in the blood of Jesus Christ
And now I’m white as snow
He’s replaced the hardened heart I had
And the coat of sin I wore

God brought me out of darkness
And filled me with His light
Forgave my every sin and then
Gave me love from His vast supply

I have so many blessings
And rewards I don’t deserve
I pray that I’ll bless others
As my God I proudly serve

Each day I’ll be more like Him
In honor to His name
I’ll be tender and forgiving
And try to bring Him no more shame

I hope to leave a legacy
Of love that leads to life
For the path of peace I follow
Will lead other souls to Christ

The Sun Will Shine Again
« Reply #9 on: January 01, 2008, 06:26:36 PM »

The Sun Will Shine Again

Tomorrow the sun will shine again
And the skies will return to blue
The passage of time will help ease your pain
And Jesus will see you through

At times in life our sufferings
Seem far too great to bear
But the God that created the universe
Promises to be there

He is there in the darkness
When only the stillness hears our cry
And when spiritual storms surrounds
He will be our guide

The rains won’t last forever
And if we keep our faith
We will soon discover
That God will make a way

The Lord will never fail us
No matter what may come
Every moment He’ll be with us
Until our sojourn’s done

Thank you, Sista Divine Mind and Jo, for all your words of encouragement.  There is a wealth here that washes the heart clean; it mends the soul and redirects burdens.  I stand tall knowing that I am not alone in this fight and that there is One Who has already fought and won on my behalf.

Thanks for the reminders.  Jo -- I can't find the words to tell you what your words have done for me.  When it rains, it really does pour...and, again, washes clean...peace...
