God in his goodness has sent clouds of witnesses ahead and about us to point us in and to the way. Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (KJV) Write in poetic form about some one in the Bible or someone in the past or someone in your life that has been a cloud of witness to you. this poem was written for my grandpa on his 100th birthday describing his life
Tried and true
A hundred years have come A hundred years have past You have been there You have made them last
You are tried and true Devoted to The savior who Died for you
Living the life Running the race Staying at An even pace
Being an example To all about Never a question Never a doubt
Never pushing or giving a shove Just living a life Dedicated to The one you love
Others have looked And definitely have seen JESUS alive And living in thee

This poem is about my "spiritual mom" Deneen. She has been there for me from the beginning. She is the most beautiful woman of God I know!
Did I ever tell you what you mean to me? All those nights you prayed and sought the Lord so beautifully You encouraged me when no one else believed You spoke the truth when the enemy of lies sent daggers to deceive You shined my armor and gave me a smile when on the battlefield I went You stayed up nights and interceded for me even when your strength was spent You told me I could when the system told me I had to have a degree to do what I do You told me all I needed was the Spirit of God and He would see me through You told me I was beautiful when I was to blind to know You told me beauty came from within and the more I died to self it would grow You put your self aside so many times when I called to complain or whine You exhorted me to share my gifts and allow the light of Christ to shine You cut a path for me by being the greatest example of Christ You taught me that with discipleship there always comes a price You are the epitomy of beauty and grace and His light shines through your soul I pray that one day I'll be the mother you are - I just wanted you to know
I love you Neenie!

I hope you will enjoy this. I did when writing it. God's blessings to you all.
One Such as I
I am so grateful to have had grandparents And other relatives who believed in God Who forced me to go every week to church So I would learn about His love At the time I wanted to stay home But praise God, they knew what was best They have turned me into one of His warrior's Whose life has been Heaven blessed I knew the verses in the Bible But lacked a relationship with the Lord Then just as the Bible said it would be My life brought me back to His throne He said, "Faith comes by hearing And hearing by the Word And if you search for me with all of your heart Rest assured, you will find the Lord" As a prodigal returning to Jesus Christ I am so aware of how God changes lives I am so blessed to be a child of the King By the power of Jesus Christ I am a good example Of one who deserves no grace No mercy should I ever have tasted But I'm saved for Jesus sake A home awaits me in Heaven And every day I live now in faith I've been given glory and salvation By the power of Jesus name So, I won't dwell on what I didn't do Or all the mistakes I made For every step I took in life Brought me to this place What a great witness to God's mercy And the power of saving grace That He would redeem one such as I The God of all who have faith Written By & Copyrighted To: Jo Conklin Divine Inspiration

This poem is about Margie Epps and about by her listening to GOD and obeying what he told her to do has effected and influenced me and many other people
Margie (Mar-Jay…Hiz-Way)
A women of GOD Who listened to GODS plan Making a place to share GODS word With all of man
Putting an effort Behind GODS still small voice Doing what’s right Making the choice
Making a plan For others to share Showing to others That GOD really cares
With rhyme and reason We lift our voice Sharing with others About GOD’S choice
For GOD placed the words Deep with in our hearts To share with others How they can have a new start
For this is the place To lift GODS voice Showing the world They have a choice
Many will be affected In a Godly way Giving them hope For a brand new day
Many will be impacted By Margie's choice To listen to GOD And obey his voice

Many of know that this past week we celebrated St Patricks day. Many of us however do not know the story about St Patricks life and his impact on Ireland for the Christian faith. A few years ago I came across a pamphlet called the Confessions of St Patrick and it a pamphlet written by St Patrick himself sharing his testimony. From that pamphlet I have written Patricks Poem sharing what is in the pamphlet in poetic form and the impact he had on Ireland for the Christian faith
Patrick’s Poem
I was born in Taburne In the year 387 To my father Calporinus A priest of GOD in heaven
Lived a normal life Pretty much care free Till carried of as a slave to Ireland At the age of sixteen
Didn’t know GOD I was lonely and depressed How in the world Could this be the best
Then the LORD opened my eyes To unbelief and sin I turned my sins over to JESUS And wonderful peace came with in
God had watched and guarded over me Even when I was in sin Keeping me safe Till I converted to him
I could not keep silent After the LORD saved me from wrong I wanted the whole world To know to whom I belonged
My Spirit with in me Grew stronger each day As I prayed to GOD Learning how to trust and obey
Then one night A voice came to me to say Your going home to your country Listen and obey
Your ship is ready The time for departure is near You will have to go 200 miles Do not fear
So I took flight The LORD directed me I feared nothing Till the ship I could see
I boarded the ship The fare was free For the LORD was looking out And took care of me
Two months it took us Till I would get home Food and provisions GOD provided for his own
Once back in Briton I was welcomed like a son Besought to stay at home A part of them I had become
The in a night vision A man by the name of victorous came to me We need you back in Ireland To set those captive by satin free
My heart was quite broken A passion burned with in Back to Ireland I would go To help people be freed from sin
I told them the story About what GOD did for me And how by repenting of there sins They could be free
Though many threatened Punished and persecuted me I was kept safe And many from sin were set free
Many left there idols To become GODS son Many life’s were changed Many victories won
Though in my heart I longed to go back home The LORD by the Spirit Told me not to rome
For this is the place I need you most Pointing these souls to JESUS Teaching them how to be filled with the HOLY GHOST
For by the works of Saint Patrick Ireland was set free From a world of sin That haunt those who do not believe Written by Mark Cadaret copywrited@March2006

the other day a friend of mine father passed away. Even though I did not know him that well I went as support for my friend. Part of the service was people recalling fond memories and telling of some of the great things he done. The next day as I was reflecting I realized that a lot of the qualities that was in the father were in my friend and I came up with this poem.
You must have got that from your father
You gentle smile On your loving face Making others feel welcome in this place You must have got that from your father
Your willingness to go the extra mile So others around you could smile You must have got that from your father
Your loyalty and dedication To family and friends Sticking with them to the end You must have got that from your father
Your willingness to add That extra touch That to others means so very much You must have got that from tour father
Willing to have values Tried and true In what you say and what you do You must have got that from your father
Being so gentle and oh so kind Doing what you do With others in mind You must have got that from your father
In what you do and what you say The reflection of your father Lives everyday Because you are like your father
written by Mark the poet@copyrighted April 2006
My prayer for me is that people can look at me and see JESUS reflected through me and then have them say you must have got that from your father

As a Deaconess at my church, helping others can be overpowering and at times find me needing nurturing. The Women's Ministry, "Women of Destiny" have proving time and time again to meet my needs when I feel spiritually exhausted. I penned this with the group in mind.
A Friend Always
God gives each of us a special friend during our lifetime A friend who takes steps with you along the way A friend true, with a smile that brightens any day There always to lend a helping hand along the way
A friend who listens to what you have to say Never to judge you in any way Offering solid advice when you go astray Give a shoulder where your head may lay
There to the very end as only a friend will be Always around in spirit surrounding you with her charm Offering the strength of love to carry you when you feel alarmed She expresses dignity and wisdom and a special blend of beauty
Thank you Lord for my friend, a beautiful flower Forever and always in my heart a gentle spirit Never to forget all that she has given in love and joy Always true, sincere, a rare jewel and forever loyal
